GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Dear Guest,

Thank you for choosing Völgy Villa Zebegény for your stay. Please read the following house rules carefully. By finalizing your reservation, you automatically accept the rules contained herein.

  1. Prices and Services
  2. The prices indicated on the website and in other informational materials are for reference only. The prices and services listed in the booking confirmation (voucher) are binding and form part of the contractual agreement.

In case of force majeure, the accommodation provider reserves the right to unilaterally modify the pre-agreed terms.

  1. Cancellation by the Guest
  2. The guest is entitled to cancel the reservation at any time before arrival. Cancellations must be sent in writing to contact@volgyvilla.hu; the time of cancellation is determined by the date and time of the email.

For larger group bookings, individual cancellation terms and fees may be established upon prior agreement.

No cancellation fee will be charged if the guest provides proper proof and notifies the provider within 3 days in writing in the following cases: – Death in the family – Serious illness or hospitalization of the guest or a close relative – Military draft notice – Natural disaster

  1. Validity
  2. These General Terms and Conditions (house rules) form an inseparable part of the booking confirmation and voucher.

  4. Check-in and Check-out
  5. Check-in: from 15:00 on the day of arrival. Check-out: by 11:00 on the day of departure.

Guests will receive the gate code via email prior to arrival. This code must not be shared. Entering the premises after check-out using the code is strictly prohibited and illegal.

  1. Visitor Policy
  2. Visitors may only be received during the day and only with prior approval from the host.
  3. In case of a larger number of visitors, an additional fee may be charged due to increased utility and operational costs.

  5. Peace and Noise levels
  6. Zebegény is a peaceful village, not a party district. Our neighbors live here year-round, so respecting their peace is especially important.

In accordance with local laws, it is prohibited to make noise, play music, or engage in loud activities at the Villa between 22:00 and 08:00, especially on the upper terrace.

The neighbor above hears sounds from the pool area very clearly. Therefore, even during the day, please refrain from using portable speakers at the pool. In the evening, avoid using portable speakers outdoors altogether. A small speaker may be used only inside the Dining room with the doors closed.

Daytime social noise (talking, laughing, children playing) is naturally acceptable, but continuous loud music should be avoided.

  1. Guest Rights and Protection
  2. At all times and in all areas of the property, behavior that disturbs the peace, security, or privacy of others—or may be considered harassment or intimidation—is prohibited.

Hungarian law (Act II of 2012, Section 195 – Disturbing the Peace) protects everyone from excessive or unjustified noise. Normal daytime activities, even if occasionally louder, are not considered violations.

Typical pool and garden usage—conversation, laughter, children playing, jumping into water—is natural and allowed until 22:00. The law applies only to unjustified, excessive, continuous noise.

If any issues arise, do not engage in arguments—make a brief note or recording and contact us immediately.

Most guests enjoy a peaceful stay. This notice is for your reassurance that the law also protects you.

  1. Smoking
  2. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all indoor areas.
  3. Smoking is only allowed at the designated outdoor smoking area behind the fire pit near the garden tap. This applies to electronic cigarettes and IQOS devices as well. Please dispose of cigarette butts in the ashtrays provided.

  5. Pets
  6. Pets are not allowed on the property.
  7.  
  8. Liability and Safety
  9. Guests use the property, equipment, and services at their own risk.
  10. Guests are responsible for their behavior and must bear the consequences of any accidents or damages.

The host is not responsible for personal belongings left on the premises. Before departure, please switch off water, lights, and air conditioning, close windows, and lock all doors.

In case of fire, call 105 (Fire Department) or 112 (Emergency), and notify the host at +36 70 577 0603.

  1. Use of Equipment and Furnishings
  2. Use all furnishings and equipment as intended. Items (including towels, blankets, linens) must not be taken outside or removed from the premises.
  3. Bringing external electronic devices (except chargers) requires the host’s permission.
  4. No flammable items may be brought into rooms.
  5. Please do not eat in the bedrooms.
  6. Use the kitchens for meals and keep them clean. Wash used dishes or use the dishwasher.
  7. Do not rearrange furniture or move items between rooms.
  8. Report any damage to the host immediately. Guests are financially responsible for any damages caused.
  9.  
  10. Garden Use
  11. Outdoor amenities (e.g. garden furniture, fire pit, grill) are for guest use but at their own risk.
  12. Do not damage plants and maintain garden cleanliness.
  13. Fires and grilling are only allowed at the designated spots, in windless conditions, with a bucket of water nearby. Extinguish embers with water after use.
  14. Do not move or rearrange garden furniture or features.
  15. Tents may only be set up with prior written permission.
  16.  
  17. Cleaning and Hygiene
  18. The property is handed over clean. Guests must maintain cleanliness during their stay.

Upon arrival: Report any cleaning issues immediately. We will investigate and address them. Please note: this is not a hotel with 24/7 staff. Issues reported only upon departure cannot be considered grounds for compensation.

During stay: Guests are responsible for daily cleaning. Supplies are provided.

Weekly cleaning: For stays over one week, we offer one free cleaning and linen/towel change upon request.

Extra cleaning: Available for a fee upon request.

Excessive mess may incur a cleaning fee (5,000 HUF/hour) for issues like furniture rearrangement, cigarette butts, uncleaned bogrács or grill, large piles of dishes, etc.

  1. Pool Use
  2. Use the pool at your own risk.

Pool rules: – Shower before entering – No shallow area; average depth 150 cm – Children under 14 must be supervised – Non-swimmers must not enter the pool without capable adult supervision

  1. Jacuzzi Use
  2. The jacuzzi is filled with clean water and correct pH before arrival. Minor harmless sediment may be present due to local water.

Jacuzzi rules: – Shower before entering – No food or drink inside (use plastic cups provided) – Children under 14 only with adult supervision – Replace cover after use – Wipe excess water and ventilate if room is humid

Improper use requiring full water change incurs a fee (currently 21,000 HUF). Do not tamper with settings; only use jet and light buttons. Damage from misuse is the guest’s responsibility.

  1. Sauna Use
  2. Use the sauna at your own risk and with regard to your health condition.

Sauna rules: – Do not use under the influence of alcohol or drugs – Children under 10 are not allowed – Children over 10 only with supervision – No food or drink inside – Use sauna towels – Limit each session to 15–20 minutes – Leave immediately if feeling unwell

  1. Breach of House Rules
  2. The host reserves the right to terminate the stay immediately if rules are seriously violated or if behavior endangers peace or safety. No refund will be given in such cases.

  4. Acceptance of House Rules
  5. By using the property, guests confirm they have read, understood, and accepted these rules.
  6.  
  7. Data Collection
  8. Obligation From September 6, 2021, accommodation providers are legally required to record certain guest data in the government’s secure storage system (VIZA). This includes presenting a valid ID (ID card or passport) upon check-in or entering it into the system.
  9.
